Thanks to the extremely generous support of our members - we have enough to cover the costs so far AND I have paid up front for the domain and hosting for the next two years. I am blown away by everyone's generosity - you guys rock! :banana-rock:

We are going to leave the donation button up in case anyone still wants to contribute, as we are gearing up to start contests again - woohoo! We used to have really fun photo contests with prizes and we're very excited to start them up again.

Dear Managers, I love WW and use it all the time, so I would very much like to donate. I do not have a Paypal account, though. How should I get the money to you? :confusion-shrug:

Trish that's so sweet of you - thanks! You're probably better not to have a paypal acc't - I personally know how dangerous (to my bank balance LOL) it can be.

One of us will get back to you by pm and let you know.

Wendy

Sure thing les, and thank you for the donation. On the top right hand side of the page you should see a link that says "User Control Panel". Click that and then click profile (if you can't find it, just click this link: ucp.php?i=164) Just fill in location and click Submit at the bottom and you'll be all set. Let me know if you have any trouble.

Thanks so much to everyone who has donated - if anyone wanted the title change and hasn't gotten it please let me know.

Thanks!

Thanks Wendy, and sweet dreams in England! (By the way my husband is Welsh, he crossed the pond in 1988, but we get to visit England once a year to friends and family)

There's two of us Wendy's - I'm the one in England :D That's really interesting. If you ever get homesick for the whippets when you're over on a holiday maybe we can meet up and you can have a cuddle with ours!

Wendy

Oops, i see now that you have mentioned it that the other Wendy is out of Florida.
I think that would be great to meet up!
We always go to Bristol, Cardiff, Kew, Nottingham, Pinner, and Chesham Bois. Sometimes we are also in Stratford-on -Avon area.
Where do you live? I actually prefer the smaller whippet sizes and my husband tells me that personalities are different too. His in England were very quiet, and great hunters of rabbit. My California whippie saw a rabbit in an open field only once, and he got so excited that when the rabbit zigged, he zagged and came streaking back to us screaming the whole way, and then he ran back to the site where he lost it and tryed to track its scent, but he had lost it. I was laughing so hard i could hardly stand up, i had never heard him carry on like that.

Hi, I actually grew up not far from Pinner before we moved down here to Dorset over 35 years ago & my cousin lived in Ruislip. Now I live about 10 miles from Wendy & Nick & the Chelynnah girls.

up at the top of the board to the right of 'logout' it says 'x private messages' - just click on that.

Here's the full instructions for private messages

viewtopic.php?f=24&t=466

Sorry - I sent you a pm response so that we didn't stray too much further off topic on the donation thread :P

If you would like to help with Whippet World's operational costs (we're up to $215) click the button below. Please let us know if you'd like us to change your title from WW Member to WW Supporter (it's your option, you may leave your title the same if you'd like). If you do want the "WW Supporter" title please be sure to put your Whippet World username in the Paypal transaction (there's a field for it) so we know who you are.

Thank you!

I missed that bit
Just got the email, it says I've donated to Wendy, is that right?

Drop WendyM a note if you want it changed and she can do that. And yes, it goes to her paypal account as she is handing all the payments for the website etc, but don't worry, she's keeping good accounts :D

Thanks everyone for the support!

Don't you dare!! Me neither. It's actually quite fun! That's why I started putting WendyJ in my signature. On my UK board there are about 4 Wendy's as well. Maybe it's a whippet thing?
