If you have an image which is already on the web that you'd like to use, it's easy to add it to your signature. Click
User Control Panel in the upper right corner of the page. In the Options menu on the left, click
Profile, then click
Edit signature. Click the IMG button above the text box and copy and paste the url of the image between the tags. You can find the url of your image by right-clicking on it and choosing "Copy image url". Click Preview to make sure it looks okay, then click Submit to set your signature.
If you don't have your own hosting, photobucket, flickr, etc you can upload the image you'd like to use for your signature to this thread. Keep in mind that the image shows up at the bottom of every post and reply you make, so try and keep it to a reasonable size.
The maximum size an image used in a signature can be is 150 pixels high x 600 pixels wide - anything larger will not work, so please make sure the one you pick fits in these dimensions.
Here are step by step instructions for adding an image to your signature.
1. Reply to this thread. Type a few words in the text box. Scroll down to the "Choose File" button and find the file on your computer. Click "Add the file". Click "Submit". An example signature is displayed below.
2. Now that your image is in this thread, you can use in in your signature following the instructions above. To get the url (or address):
- in IE right click on your image and click 'properties' then copy the address in the grey box (the area starting with http: - highlight it and click control and 'c')
- in firefox right click on your image and click "Copy image location."
In order to use that in my signature I would follow the instructions above to go to my user control panel and put this is my signature box:
Code:
[img]http://www.whippetworld.net/board/download/file.php?id=38[/img]
