Brigitte's Mom asked this be posted re her whippets

Postby DFox » Mon Jun 20, 2011 9:41 pm

Regarding her beloved dogs, Pony and Corey have been placed with a very loving family in PA (lots of space to run around). This week, Bambi and Daisy will be taken and loved by Barbara Henderson, and Summer and Rudy will also be placed (maybe together) with very loving people. Rest assured, Brigitte would be happy with where her beloved "children" are and will be going. Please post this on WW for me-thanks-Her mom

How kind of Brigitte's Mom to let all of Brigitte's WW friends know that her dogs will be loved and well cared for (not that anyone ever had a doubt) - thank you!

I wonder, were the dogs given chance to say "Goodbye" to Brigitte? Otherwise they may still be waiting for her to come home. When my husband died we took the dogs upstairs to see him & they seemed to know & understand that he was no longer with us - same with the dogs we've had put to sleep, when the others see them they seem to accept what has happened.

So pleased to know that all the dogs have found loving homes together rather than individually.

I am really pleased to hear this. What a good thing to place them as pairs.

I wonder if they'll be able to meet up together in the future?

If there's one thing I was not worried about, it's that Brigitte's dogs would be loved and well taken care of. Thanks so much for the update.

How wonderful that our fabulous rescue heroine Barbara Henderson is taking Daisy and Bambi and has helped placed Brigitte's other furry friends in wonderful, loving homes. Thanks to Brigitte's mom for letting everyone know :)

Thank you for posting this. I am sure this was not an easy thing for anyone involved, and I hope that everyone can take comfort in knowing the dogs will be in great homes.

As of yesterday, all of Brigitte's babies are in what I hope will be their forever homes. It was extremely difficult to help pack up their things and see them leave B's home for the last time. Brigitte would be so pleased with where they are going and I am also pleased that I can keep a loving eye on them and see them from time to time. In all likelihood, the 4 younger ones will get to attend playdates and I'm hoping that their new families will join WW once everything is finalized. We are even hoping that a couple of the dogs will get to attend B's burial as that is what B would have wanted. Fingers crossed that things continue to work out at the new homes and that you'll soon see pictures of the babies lounging around on their new sofas!

Oh yes...new pictures and updates would be wonderful. And I do hope their families will join WW. Extra comforting that Bambi and Daisy are with Barbara.

Thank you, Melanie for being such a loving friend for Bee. I'm sure it was very heartbreaking and emotional to see them leave their home. :( Hugs to you and everyone who's been helping out.
